The hearts of millions of Brazilians were broken this morning when Germany routed Brazil 7-1 to reach the World Cup final.
It is Brazil’s worst loss ever and the match was absolutely heart-wrenching.
Brazil played without its injured striker Neymar, who had suffered a fractured vertebra in his lower back during its quarter final match against Columbia.
By the end, the Germans were barely celebrating their goals anymore and the Brazilians could manage little more than blank stares.
Germany will play either Argentina or Netherlands in the championship game at Rio’s Maracana Stadium on Sunday. Argentina will take on the Netherlands at 4 a.m. on Thursday.
