Saint Etienne is an electronic band from London. They have been around since 1990 – and they continue to spread their good tunes.
We were able to take a listen to their newest album, ‘Words and Music by Saint Etienne’ and we have to say, it was like a flashback through time. When you listen to the tunes on this album, you start to remember how music was like back in early 90’s.
They have kept to their roots of how they make their music – but at the same time, they have adapted to the growth of the music industry, and they have made songs to suit this time as well.
There’s no doubt that while listening to this album, you will find yourself moving left to right. Songs like ‘Tonight’ and ‘Popular’ are extra groovy and will definitely get you dancing!
There is something about ‘Words and Music’ that reminds us of Madonna’s music back in the day. If you were a fan of Madonna’s ‘Like A Virgin’ phase, then this album by Saint Etienne will not disappoint you!
