Following the success from her first perfume release, “Curious”, which made over USD30million in sales in the first three months of its launch, comes another that’s even curiouser than the first one. Britney Spears’ second fragrance, “Fantasy”, was launched under the Elizabeth Arden label and it joins her league of girly perfumes.
Britney Spears, as a brand, have always upheld the image of being both feminine and sensual. And “Fantasy” is no different. As far as celebrity-endorsed scents go, almost all of the fragrances released under her brand is sweet, youthful, and maybe a little bit playful.
Playing investigator, I put it to a test and to be perfectly honest, I was pleasantly surprised. I mean, say what you want about Britney Spears but a cute little pink bottle of dessert-smelling perfume is really the winning concoction!
The “Fantasy” fragrance starts off smelling like a toss of sweet fruits (red lychee, kiwi, golden quince) coupled with, and get this, delectable icing piled onto yummylicious vanilla-flavoured cupcakes. Good enough to eat, you think? Best of all, the hint of vanilla lasts throughout the entire time of wear! Vanilla, I love.
Also, it does help that “Fantasy” is a strong-smelling perfume and thus, you need just about a few delicate sprays before heading out the door. Then witness it last through hours and hours of work and play. Long-wearing, fun, sweet fragrance? Yes please!
