The trailer for Fifty Shades Freed is here and it shows Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson, in a wedding dress at the beginning implying that something sinister is about to happen. Christian Grey, played by Irish hunk Jamie Dornan, is seen in the trailer with a gun while Anastasia looks to be in some sort of trouble.
We also get a glimpse of Mr Grey’s torso while the love of his life declares she can’t believe that this is now her life. Fifty Shades Freed is the third and final instalment of EL James’ erotic romance which will be released on Valentines Day 2018. Last year, Fifty Shades Darker roped in 378.8 million in box office sales.
On another note, the film’s star Dakota Johnson said that her director created a “very safe protected environment” during the filming of sex scenes and that she “trusted her completely.” (Taylor-Johnson did not return for the sequels Fifty Shades Darker or Fifty Shades Freed, which were made by James Foley, and have a noticeably lighter touch).
The reason for Taylor-Johnson’s absence from the sequels is her much-publicised feud with the book’s author, EL James. “I like everyone — and I get really confused when they don’t like me. I was so confused by EL James,” Taylor-Johnson said. “I don’t understand when I can’t navigate a person, when there’s no synergy.”
And while she has no regrets about doing the film, she did say that “with the benefit of hindsight would I go through it again? Of course I wouldn’t. I’d be mad.” “I’m not going to ever watch them. I have literally zero interest.”
