Star Wars all over the world are rejoicing after they got a sneak peak of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – Disney’s first spin-off from the Star Wars universe.
The trailer introduced new rebel characters, with actress Felicity Jones as the lead character, Jyn Erso. Jyn’s rogue streak is short, but her authoritative voice is conspicuous.
“This is a rebellion isn’t it?” she says. “I rebel.”
The story is set just before the original film, Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977). Felicity Jones leads a group to steal the plans of the Death Star, which is probably the same plans that Princess Leia stored in the memory of R2-D2 back in 1977. So don’t expect to see Rey or Finn!
The movie is directed by Gareth Edwards, and also stars other big names like Forest Whitaker and Mads Mikkelson.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is due for release on December 16.
