If you don’t already know, #Urbanscapes 2014 will be happening at Resorts World Genting Highlands this year on December 6th. Before the big event, the organizers have also planned a number of Satellite Shows and pre-festival celebrations just for you. Besides Chvrches who will be performing at a Satellite Show on November 19, American comedy rock duo Tenacious D, featuring Jack Black and Kyle Gass, will also be coming down to Kuala Lumpur for another Urbanscapes 2014 Satellite Show at KL Live!
Self-styled, Tenacious D started playing together in Gass’s studio apartment on Cochran Ave. in Los Angeles. Besides having a variety series on HBO that aired in 1999, their self-titled album was released in fall 2011 with Epic Records and it has since been certified platinum. The duo completed their first feature film together, “Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny” for New Line Cinema, which was released in November 2006. The album “Rize of the Fenix” then followed in 2012. In 2013, Black and Gass founded and hosted Festival Supreme, a music and comedy festival in Santa Monica, CA which featured the likes of Adam Sandler, The Mighty Boosh, Tim & Eric and many more of the greatest acts in musical comedy.
