UNIQLO today announces that its Spring/Summer 2018 Uniqlo U collection will launch from January 26 next year.
The range embodies the LifeWear philosophy of creating clothes that are made for everyone. The new collection features a range of reinvented basics from the design team at the UNIQLO Paris R&D Center, led by Artistic Director Christophe Lemaire. Find striking hues inspired by nature in slightly oversized styling for effortlessly relaxed silhouettes in the new line, comprising 50 women’s and 38 men’s items and 8 accessories
For both genders, items will be in from S through XXL sizes. Some pieces may become available in XS through 4XL sizes with sizes XS, XXL through 4XL exclusively available online.
The key colours for this collection are sky and sea blue together with forest and grass green. Orange and red accents, stripes and borders, and other elements bare added into the mix for that flexible touch. Another exciting addition to the women’s line this season is the Open Collar Shirt featuring thick stripes while the multicolor Border Tshirt employing heavyweight cotton becomes the star of the men’s range.
This season’s line will incorporate coats that offer exceptional water resistance, windproofing, and breathability. The women’s BLOCKTECH Short Coat is comfortable and chic for the city with its drawstring waist and matte finish. The new men’s BLOCKTECH coat employs chambray twill fabric that is water repellent and windproofed, combining a clean silhouette with excellent all-weather protection.
The new range further enhances the look and feel by adopting high twist cotton fabric in two new women’s items – the 3D Ribbed Balloon Sweater and 3D Crew Neck Balloon Dress.
UNIQLO also plans to launch six new swimwear items that minimize seams to enhance comfort later in the Spring/Summer 2018 season. Expect a bandeau bikini with removable straps, a halter neck bikini for freer movement, and a bicolor bikini.
