He wrote, “Thrilled to announce my next film as director and what better day than 20 years of Dil Chahta Hai to do it. #JeeLeZaraa with @priyankachopra @katrinakaif @aliaabhatt will commence filming in 2022 and I cannot wait to get this show on the road.”
The movie is helmed by Farhan Akhtar and sister Zoya Akhtar in a producer-writer role. Given the sibling duo’s incredible writing, directing and acting in travel-themed movies, including their landmark rom-com movies like Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), the anticipation for Jee Le Zaraa, which is expected to release in 2023, is surely worth the wait. It has been a while since the movie industry credited such films, and our bet is on this movie.
