PLUS is encouraging Malaysians to plan their journey back for Chinese New Year based on the Travel Time Advisory (TTA) which has proven to contributed to smoother traffic flow during peak periods in the past.

The TTA consists of recommended staggered travel times for various destinations from the Klang Valley to major states and cities in Kedah, Perlis, Penang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor and Singapore. The TTA hopes to distribute traffic safely, while distributing congestion on the mainline, major toll plazas, rest areas and lay-bys during peak periods

PLUS Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Noorizah Hj And Hamid elaborated, “We expect those in the Klang Valley to start leaving for their kampongs on 8 and 9 (Friday and Saturday).

She advised those heading towards Kedah, Perlis, Penang and Johor to enter the North-South Expressway before 12 noon. Whereas, those heading towards other destinations such as Kuala Kangsar, Changkat Jering, Taiping and Malacca can enter the highway between 12 noon and 3.00pm.

Don’t forget to plan your journey back home by referring to the timetable below for a stress-free and safe Chinese New Year. (Source)
