K-pop, best known for its catchy tunes and perfect, synchronized choreography, has been around for some time in Asian countries since 2006. But with PSY’s hit single, Gangnam Style taken over by storm, it seems that the Korean wave has been growing stronger than ever all over the world. Music aside, we noticed that the K-pop idols are not only well-known for their songs, but their distinctive sense of style both on and off stage is what got most of the K-pop fans addicted. Big Bang, 2NE1, Girl Generation, SHINee and other well known K-pop idol groups have also graced the cover of local and international fashion magazine several times, and they also endorse major fashion brands.
As we browse through almost all the pictures of the hottest K-pop girl groups, we found five female K-pop stars that grab the title of being the most stylish member among the others!
1. 2NE1’s CL
CL, the leader of one of the most popular girl groups, 2NE1, is by far the most stylish female K-pop star among the other female idols. 2NE1 has been known as the most fashion-forward out of the numerous girl groups since their debut year as their styles are often vibrant and bold. Being in the same company with one of the Korea’s greatest boy band, Big Bang, it is no surprise that CL has also developed the unique fashion sense over the years with the best K-pop fashionista and leader of Big Bang, G-Dragon. She is also a very close friend with fashion designer, Jeremy Scott and she is often seen rocking Jeremy Scott’s clothing line too. Other than that, her outfits often include luxury brands such as KTZ, Balmain, Ambush, Versace and the list goes on.
2. Girl Generation’s Sooyoung
With the group’s recent song release of “I Got A Boy”, Girl Generation’s Sooyoung has certainly got all the boys falling over her slender-leg beauty and her fashion sense. Being the tallest member in the group, Sooyoung usually wear skinny jeans and dresses that often show off her slender-legs. As she has the slim model-like figure, she can rock almost any outfits at ease while being stylish at the same time. Even though her style doesn’t scream unique like CL does, but her casual style is always sophisticated and elegant, which makes her style well-liked by most fans.
3. 4Minute’s Hyuna
Being known for her sexy concept, the “Ice Cream” and “Bubble Pop” singer, Hyuna is one of the most stylish female K-pop stars too. Hyuna is not just about donning the sexy outfit as her outfits are often very fashionable and stylish. As she has petite-sized body, she is often seen rocking skimpy little shorts and bodycon dresses that highlight her perfect body shape. Aiming to show the fashionable side of her, she launched her own clothing line ‘HyunA x SPICYCOLOR’ last year by teaming up with clothing brand, SPICYCOLOR.
4. KARA’s Hara
Sweet and cute are what people often described Hara as. KARA is one of the most successful girl groups consists of five members and the most popular member is none other than Hara. At the age of 21, Hara has made quite a name for herself through variety shows as well as modeling for magazine spreads. She is also the first girl group member to grace the cover of Elle Girl Korea solo. In addition to that, she was known for her waist with what Koreans known as ‘ant-waist’ that depicts that she has a tiny waist.
5. Wonder Girl’s Sohee
If you have been into the K-pop music scene long enough, you’d have known that Wonder Girl is one of the K-pop groups that brought the rise of Korean Wave to the world. Wonder Girl’s youngest member, Sohee, is only 19-year-old (as of this year)even though the girl group has debuted long ago. She is one of those female K-pop stars with an innocent angelic face but devilish body figure. Despite the young age, we found that she is well-dressed as she is often seen wearing in her own casual clothes that exudes both her boyish and feminine charms. She also appeared in numerous high fashion magazines such as CeCi Korea and Vogue Korea that has earned her the title of being fashionably cool.
