Rumour has been confirmed that pop-star diva Mariah Carey is quiting as the panel judges of The Americal Idol on May 30. She will be leaving for one season as she’s undertaking a world tour following the success of her latest single Beautiful.
She retweeted a message from her PR representative:
“W/ global success of “#Beautiful” (#1 in 30+ countries so far) @MariahCarey confirms world tour & says goodbye 2 Idol”
Meanwhile, another panel judge of the latest season of American Idol Nicki Minaj, has also announced her retirement from the show on Twitter and ending with a diva-esque kiss.
“Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience! Wouldn’t trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! Mmmuuuaahhh!!!”
One more thing we know that Randy Jackson‘s also announced his decision to leave the show May 9 with the following statement, which makes Mariah’s announcement is not the first who said to leave.
“Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on American Idol I have decided it is time to leave after this season. I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. It’s been a life changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures.”
American Idol has never really been the same since Simon and Paula left, but a new year will mean a new revolution for American Idol!
