Malaysians showed their love for Swedish fashion retailer H&M by lining up for over eight hours outside its flagship store at Lot 10 on September 22nd. About 1,500 fans waited patiently, and some even started to queue up a day before – the first customer in line was rewarded with a RM500 shopping voucher, while the second to fifth in linewon RM200, and the next 300 customers received RM50 vouchers.
“We have had an amazing response from our customers here in Kuala Lumpur today and we look forward to bringing Malaysians fashion and quality at the best price. We are also excited to finally be expanding our business concept here within South East Asia and hope to grow our following in this region,” -Mr. Lex Keijser, Country Manager for H&M Greater China, Singapore and Malaysia.
Last Thursday, H&M invited prominent figures from Malaysia’s fashion and entertainment industry, as well as members of the media, to an exclusive event for a preview of its three-storey store. Among the celebrities present were singer Yuna Zarai and newlywed actors Awal Ashaari and Scha Al-Yahya.
Shoppers will enjoy a range of fashion and accessories for women, men, teenagers, and children at H&M, and our sources say that new items will be brought in store daily! The second H&M store in Malaysia will open on 3rd October 2012 at Setia City Mall.
