What makes a video go viral? Creativity and unique content highlights a video and more often than not, it makes rounds in the internet. Eshna Kutty, a recent overnight Instagram sensation finally got the change to taste stardom when her dance video became a worldwide hit.
In the video, the 24-year old flow artiste was seen performing a hula-hoop dance sequence on AR Rahman’s Hindi song Genda Phool in saree and white sneakers. People did not only find her dance super catchy, but her effortless moves using a hula-hoop while wearing saree was pure talent and a treat to the eye.

Her dance sequence caught the eyes of many and made her hit 100,000-followers on Instagram in no time. Her success did not come overnight as she has been practicing and then teaching hooping for ten years now while trying to validate her performance as a profession.
“Sarees usually feel restrictive, it usually makes you feel like you can’t move in it, or be in it a certain way and I came up with the idea of saree flow to sort of break that stereotype,” Kutty told The Indian Express.
“The video had me, my authentic self, just having fun. Just the fact that it resonated with people and talked about the positivity it brought, it was the best part about it,” she said.
After the success of the video which used hashtag #sareeflow, many others have gained inspiration and recreated their own versions emulating the viral video.
