These Twin YouTube Stars Came Out To Their Dad And His Response Was Phenomenal

Meet Austin and Aaron Rhodes, also known to YouTubers as the Rhodes Bros.

The very good-looking twins moved from a small town in Ohio to Los Angeles about half a year ago and since they joined YouTube, the brothers have garnered millions of views on their videos.

Most of the videos, which they upload on YouTube are pretty lighthearted like, “How To Take A Selfie” or “Pros & Cons Of Being Twins” but their latest video however, had a more serious undertone. Their latest upload was of them coming out to their father and the emotional experience that it was.

“Before this video is put out there, there is one more person who we need to tell,” said the brothers who were visibly anxious and nervous. “We’ve come out to our entire family, except for our dad.”

The first few minutes of the call shows just how nervous the boys were to come out to their dad but once they finally told him, their loving father responded with, “It’s the way things are, you know. You’re growing people. You grew up in a much different generation than me. I just don’t really know what to say. You know I love you both, that will never change. You’ve gotta live your lives. You’ve gotta do what you gotta do.”

The video and call ended with a positive note. While we have seen a lot of really unpleasant reactions for those who decided to come out to their loved ones, this particular video reminds us all what being human is all about. And that is accepting one another for being exactly the way we were born. This video reminds all of us to love ourselves no matter what and while not every parent may be accepting, you certainly owe it to yourselves to do what you love and be who you really are.
