The first ever Instagram post from space is soon to make history!
The image posted on Monday, to the official International Space Station’s Instagram account was a selfie of Steven R. Swanson. The American astronaut who was suspended in the space station’s seven-window observatory module took a selfie with an awe-inspiring bird’s eye view of Earth from above as the background.
Expedition 39 launched March 25th, aboard a Soyuz spacecraft featured Swanson and a pair of Russian astronauts, Aleksandr Skvortsov and Oleg Artemyev.
One small step for social media, one giant leap for space selfies.
