The largest photo competition, the Canon PhotoMarathon Malaysia is back and it’s even bigger as it will take place in two locations this year! The Canon PhotoMarathon Malaysia 2012 will be happening at the Boulevard in Berjaya Times Square and Lintasan Deasoka in Kota Kinabalu simultaneously!
As host, Canon Marketing (Malaysia) also incorporates their philosophy, Kyosei, which looks into living sand working together for the common good by giving back to society. This year, they have chosen to support the Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB). Simon Wong, Director of the Imaging Communication Products Division of Canon Marketing (Malaysia) said “As photographers we understand and appreciate the ability to see and our hearts goes out to our visually impaired friends so we want to support especially MAB’s efforts to empower persons with visual impairment by providing them with opportunities that will encourage integration into society.”
The Canon Photomarathon 2012 promises to be an event not to be missed by photography enthusiasts as Canon Marketing(Malaysia) will be working together with other corporations to sponsor the exciting photo competition. Sponsors include Kata, Manfrotto, the National Geographic Society, and for the first time this year, YES, the fastest provider of 4G Mobile Internet with Voice will make it possible for participants to upload their entries straight to a cloud system!
Furthermore, Canon Marketing Malaysia has partnered with The One Academy, where students from The One Academy will be designing the exclusive Canon Photomarathon Malaysia 2012 T-Shirts, and coordinating the live web-streaming between both venues throughout the day!
