Pavilion Bukit Jalil recently welcomed Siam Piwat, Thailand’s award-winning and leading retail business, to the mall’s new Thai Precinct, which features 3 uniquely-curated ‘Made in Thailand’ brands – Ecotopia, Absolute Siam, and ICONCRAFT. These well-loved and popular Thai brands that have attracted considerable attention are finally available to Malaysians at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, owing to the brands’ amazing success in Thailand.
Ecotopia, Absolute Siam, and ICONCRAFT are located in an 11,000 sq ft retail space that encapsulates each brand’s personality. Each of these unique and creative Thai brands gives local Thai entrepreneurs an opportunity and international platform to showcase the height of Thai creativity, as well as a selection of environmentally conscious and sustainably sourced products from local Thai artisans within this 3-in-1 open-concept store.
Mrs. Piyapin Niyomrerks, Deputy Head of Mission, Royal Thai Embassy (representing His Excellency Chainarong Keratiyutwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia) was present to officiate the Grand Opening, along with VIPs such as Ms. Usara Yongpiyakul, Chief Executive Officer – Retail Business Group, Siam Piwat Co., Ltd.; Mr. Worawan Wanwil, Minister Counsellor, Department of International Trade Promotion, Royal Thai Embassy; Datuk Lee Whay Hoong, Director, Regal Path Sdn Bhd; Dato’ Joyce Yap, CEO of Retail, Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd; Mrs. Parisa Chatnilbandhu, General Manager of Siam Selected Co. A modern fashion show followed the opening, which saw star products from each of the curated brands – Ecotopia, Absolute Siam, and ICONCRAFT. “With the opening of Ecotopia, Absolute Siam, and ICONCRAFT, Malaysian and foreign shoppers will be able to enjoy Thailand without having to leave the country. And, shoppers can now explore these purposeful new brands and experience the best of Thai craftsmanship and creativity through its highly-curated selection of merchandise under one roof, with this unique and immersive retail concept,” said Dato’ Joyce Yap, CEO of Retail, Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn. The launch of these three brands marks a key milestone in Siam Piwat and Pavilion Group’s relationship, strengthening Siam Piwat’s ambition to make Thailand a global statement.

Ecotopia
The brand aims to bring together an eco-conscious community of like-minded people who believe that “Together, We Co-Create a Better World.” Ecotopia, in collaboration with 12 eco-creators, provides a novel and welcoming eco-centric experience that people from all walks of life can enjoy. Among the brands available are Seasun Society, an eco-friendly skincare line, and Magfish, an art and crafts company that employs recycled materials.
Absolute Siam Store
The brand is dedicated to Thailand’s avant-garde fashion, offering a stage for up-and-coming Thai designers to express their originality and fashion prowess. This multi-brand concept shop represents over 60 fashion, art, technology, and lifestyle businesses, offering one-of-a-kind inventive and bold fashion pieces that set new trends in Absolute Siam style.
Among the renowned Thai designers are Mahanakon, TA.THA.TA, Coralist, Sue, and Anona, with popular goods including Mahanakon’s Durian Run Run graphic t-shirt, Sue’s Printed Wrap Pants, and TA.THA.TA’s eccentric Jam Bag.
ICONCRAFT
The brand highlights Thailand’s distinctive arts and crafts, with products from over 800 craftsmen, designers, and local communities from all throughout Thailand on showcase, providing craftsmen with the opportunity to enter modern trade.
Among the various things available in-store are jewelry, home decor, one-of-a-kind handicrafts, lifestyle artifacts, aromas, and fragrances. Bangkok Baskets, which sells handcrafted bags with contemporary patterns, and Kitt. Ta. Khon, which sells modern hand-woven furniture, are two of the brands showcased.
Ecotopia, Absolute Siam, and ICONCRAFT are part of a curated Thai Precinct where customers can experience Thailand’s rich culture via inventive retail ideas, as part of Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s dedication in providing an engaging retail experience. Sukhumvit 38, a new Thai concept dining experience supervised by Michelin Star chefs to deliver shoppers unique gourmet experiences, is set to open soon as a new addition to the Thai district.
