Hermès is proud to announce the launch of Terre d’Hermès Eau de Parfum Intense, a bold new chapter in the iconic Terre d’Hermès fragrance collection. Created by Christine Nagel, Creative Director of Hermès Perfumes, this intense new expression explores the powerful connection between Earth and humanity through the primal force of underground fire.
“For this new chapter of Terre d’Hermès, I wanted to express a different facet of the Earth: the raging heat of an underground fire rising forcefully to the surface,” explains Nagel.
A Journey Through Elemental Forces
Terre d’Hermès Eau de Parfum Intense draws inspiration from the Earth’s molten core, where hundreds of miles beneath the surface, intense heat churns and burns. This powerful energy rises through layers of the Earth’s mantle, shifting tectonic plates and ultimately reaching the surface.
The fragrance captures this elemental journey through a complex aromatic profile. Opening notes of lively bergamot provide an initial freshness, while heart notes of burning wood and coffee beans create a rich, intoxicating warmth. The base is anchored by the intensity of lava stone and deep liquorice, evoking the raw power of the Earth’s core.
Design That Embodies Inner Fire
The pure lines of the bottle, designed by Philippe Mouquet, are adorned with a searing, almost molten red-brown lacquer – a concentrated expression of inner fire. The iconic H on its base leaves an incandescent imprint, while light reflects off the metal mantle on its shoulders. A matt black cap resembling dense lava stone is stamped with the Hermès saddle nail, completing the design.
In keeping with Hermès’ commitment to sustainability, the bottle is refillable and designed to last. Made from recyclable glass and aluminum, it represents the brand’s continuous efforts toward environmental responsibility.
Terre d’Hermès Eau De Parfum Intense is now available at Hermés boutiques and exclusively at Hermés counters in Parkson Pavilion Elite Kuala Lumpur and Seibu, The Exchange TRX.
