Sunway Lagoon has finally launched the world’s FIRST Waterplexx 5D – a water-based attraction that engages the rider’s three key senses, sight, sound and touch. The first of its kind in the world, this multi-sensory journey lets you experience a combination of fog, smoke effects, water jets, fountains and mist!
The Waterplexx 5D sits 36 people in every experience which lasts approximately 10 minutes. The riders are then placed in the midst of the action of the animated movie. Whether it’s a pirate’s adventure or an an excursion in an underwater wonderland, visitors can expect to feel everything they see, from the gust of wind to a powerful gale!
Subsequent to the launch of Waterplexx 5D, Sunway Lagoon is also set to launch the world’s largest vortex water ride, Vuvuzela, targeted for the first quarter of 2013. The Vuvuzela stands at nearly 23 meters high, and takes up to six riders at a time through a thrilling series of twists and turns, before plummeting through the core of a 22-metre wide funnel.
Furthermore, Sunway Lagoon is also pleased to announce they they now open daily from 10am to 6pm. In conjunction with their 20th anniversary festivities, 20 Fun Years, Sunway Lagoon is offering the first 1,000 Malaysians to purchase passes from the ticketing counters at Sunway Lagoon on the 20th of every month until March 2013, where guests can enjoy all parks at only RM20.
