STUDY: Braless Women May Sag Less Than Bra-Wearers

Researchers in France are beginning to wonder if women buy bras for their biomechanics or for the way they look. According to a study conducted by a Professor Jean-Denis Rouillon from the University of Franche-Comte, he published in his journal that braless women may sag less than bra-wearers.

Rouillon has been studying the effects of wearing bras on 320 women over 15 years, and he found that those who went without a bra were better at opposing gravity. All he used were a slide rule and a caliper.

In women aged 18 to 35 who went braless for a year, their nipples rose as measured by their distance from their shoulder tips by 7mm. He reckons that bras, in doing the work of the breast ligaments may reduce their effectiveness.

So, what can you do to have firmer breasts? One study suggested that smoking make breasts sag as it reduces the amount of elastin in the supporting ligaments. Having larger breasts and even aging contributed to droopy boobs.

Do we ditch the bras and go out as normal. We reckon genetics and your diet may have something to with it, so keep to a healthy diet and do more exercises that focus on the chest area.
