With pandemic restrictions lifted and the economy in full swing, this Deepavali calls for a more colourful affair as the Hindu community in Malaysia welcomes the important celebration. In Hinduism, The Festival of Light symbolises a period of inner illumination, during which a single light continues to shine in each person’s heart chamber and illuminate their soul.
This year, Suria KLCC, Malaysia’s premier shopping mall, will be hosting Deepavali celebrations for 17 days, from now till 30 October 2022. A vibrant garden installation at the Centre Court beckons visitors into its fold throughout this period. Visitors will be fêted by a lively set-up filled with floral peacocks and a traditional Indian gazebo adorned with flower garlands.
The festive mood is further enhanced with Deepavali tunes! In the middle of the garden, a 20-foot rotating kolam, with motion sensor lighting and sound, is poised to provide visitors with a fun, interactive experience. This feature comes to life with multi-coloured lights when shoppers trigger the sensors. How cool is that?
On selected weekends, shoppers will also be treated to traditional Indian dance performances at the Centre Court.
Meanwhile, avid shoppers stand to be rewarded with Suria KLCC (SKLCC) Shopping e-Vouchers as part of the Shoppers Reward Programme. Those who spend RM600 and above in two receipts at any specialty store will receive an SKLCC Shopping e-Voucher worth RM50.
