Snail Facials Take Over Japan by Storm

How far would you go to defy the effects of age? Kim Kardashian is willing to inject blood out of her wrists and then transfuse them back into her face in a painful process. Most celebrities swear by Botox and other oddball treatments like setting fire to their face, but this one takes the cake!

We all know that snail gunk has all the antioxidants to retain skin moisture and remove dead cells, which is why their slime are known to be in key ingredients in certain anti-aging products. But to enjoy the full effects of snail slime, one must let these live snails slither across your face.

Yes, the little gooey things in your garden, when slithers on your face works even better if you want the best skin you’ll ever have.

This new skin treatment is taking over Japan by storm, but there’s only one place in Japan to do it – Clinical Salon in the Ebisu district of Tokyo.

It’s safe, according to many. Even celebrities like Katie Holmes are into it. Except, instead of turning her face into a snail maze, she uses the actual snail mucus. The new live snail facial was supposedly inspired by Mt Fuji’s recent acquisition of World Heritage Status, resulting in climbers who suffer from skin damage as they climb the peak this summer. Snails come to the rescue as their slime can heal the skin damaged by ultraviolet rays. [Source]

So, will you consider turning your face into a playground for snails?
