Well, what do you know? Singaporeans now have the most powerful passport in the world, according to Passport Index, which deduced that the country’s inhabitants are allowed to travel to the highest number of countries visa-free.
3.4 million holders of Singaporean passports can travel to 159 countries without a visa, and this includes Paraguay as the country just lifted its visa entry restrictions for Singaporeans.
Germany comes in second place, with its citizens able to visit 158 countries without a visa, whereas Sweden and South Korea tie in third place. Coming in fourth is the U.K., along with Denmark, Italy, Finland, France, Spain, Norway and Japan.
Malaysia is listed in the 6th position, together with Canada, Ireland and the U.S. Unsurprisingly, the practicality of the U.S. passport took a dip since President Donald Trump took office.
An Asian country has topped Passport Index for the first time ever, and the least powerful passport is held by the Afghans of Afghanistan, with only 22 countries allowing visa-free access.
