A Singapore Airlines (SIA) plane knocked into an aerobridge at Sydney Airport yesterday while taxiing after landing. The accident damaged one of the plane’s four engines.

The Strait Times reported that one of the plane’s four engines “made contact” with the aerobridge.

“There were no injuries to the 285 passengers and 26 crew on board Flight SQ 231,” The Straits Times quoted a spokesman for the carrier in a statement to the newspaper.

The paper added that pictures showing part of an engined smashed into a leg of an aerobridge was posted by witnesses.
