With the second instalment of Sherlock Holmes out in cinemas and the much awaited summer flick, The Avengers which will rock the world in May 2012, Robert Downey Jr looks like he can do no wrong but here’s a side of him that will make you swoon even further. The actor and his wife Susan who were married since 2005 welcomed their first son together, Exton Elias Downey on Tuesday morning in Los Angeles.
“Everyone is healthy and they couldn’t be happier,” a friend of the couple says.
Susan’s pregnancy was announced in August last year and Robert unintentionally reveals the baby’s sex on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in December much to his producer wife’s chagrin. “I am not permitted to discuss it,” the 46-year-old actor told Leno about revealing the child’s sex, “I can’t say a word – We’re having a boy!”
She made him keep the name a secret though. “If I told you the name, then she would lop off my head with a machete,” joked Downey.
Exton Elias is the Downey’s second child after his 18 year old son, Indio with his first wife, actress/musician Deborah Falconer who were married from 1992 to 2004. Congratulations to the happy couple!
