On the 5th of July, the Lipstiq team attended Us The Duo‘s showcase at Bentley Music Auditorium, Mutiara Damansara. Us The Duo, consisting of married couple, Michael and Carissa Alvarado, stirred up the crowd as they belted out original tracks and covers for their first ever showcase in Malaysia.
Hosted by social media personality, Jinnyboy, the showcase gathered close to a thousand of roaring fans and they were also able to score themselves official Us The Duo goodies such as CDs and official merchandise, which were sold at the venue.
The Duo hit the stage and serenaded the crowd with a combination of cover songs and original materials from their major label debut album No Matter Where You Are. They also performed their popular 2014 Top Hits in 2 Minutes compilation.
To top things off, they closed the night with an original track “No Matter Where You Are”, which was featured in The Book of Life original soundtrack. A total of nine songs were performed, with the audience asking for more.
The autograph session followed after and fans queued up for a chance to meet the duo and get their album autographed. Closing the showcase, Michael mentioned that they’d definitely be coming back to Malaysia for a full-fledged concert.
