A bathing suit is meant to cover up your bits as you take a dip in the pool or the beach. But what if the swimsuit costs you RM15k?
A mother–and-daughter team from Singapore took a week to design and hand-sew Swarovski crystals onto a swimsuit. The suit will make its debut next week at the Singapore’s Fashion TV Beach Festival Party, a showcase of high-fashion swimwear that has already make waves in Monte Carlo and Dubai.
“We’re confident that the crystals will stay on if you want to go for a swim in it, but we won’t recommend it,” said the daughter Esther Loh, 27.
Both mother Christina Ho, 50 and daughter founded Inner Desire, an online business three years ago which retails and design luxury swimsuits, sleepwear and lingerie. Their products retail between SGD34 to SGD120 (approximately RM85 to RM300).
