Everyone loves colourful nails but whether you’re doing your nails at home or going for a manicure at a beauty salon, you’ll need to take time off to do it. While looking for a faster option to jazz up our nails, we came across Sephora’s Nail Patch Art. A couple of questions came into mind: Can a bunch of nail stickers deliver the same effect as a nail polish? And how does one apply nail patches, anyway? Find out the answers below!
What is it?
Sephora’s Nail Patch Art is a collection of adhesive art patches that comes in different designs (animal print, glitter, polkadots, and more). Each patch is made of a base coat film, a colour film and a top coat film – basically the same coats that you’d usually put on when you’re doing a manicure.
How does it work?
The Sephora Nail Patch Art pack contains two strips of eight nail stickers and an instruction manual.
Prep your nails by pushing back the cuticles, and then buffing and filing them. Choose the right size and remove the transparent film that covers the sticker – it’s better to choose a slightly bigger nail patch because you can easily use a toothpick or boxwood stick to remove the excess sticker later. Raise the silver tab on the sticker to peel it off and place the rounded edge at the base of your nail. Fold the excess nail polish sticker under your nail – it’ll tear away easily. Carefully smooth the nail patch over the surface of your nail with your finger.
Our nail patch was the French Manucure version, so it came with a purple coloured tip to create the French manicure effect.

Sephora’s Nail Patch Art is so easy to use! There’s no mess that comes with applying your own nail polish and you don’t have to wait for it to dry, either. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll have colourful nails in under 10 minutes. The nail stickers last a bit longer than normal nail polish, in our opinion, and you can easily remove it by using a traditional nail polish remover.
It’s quick and hassle free, which makes it perfect for girls with a busy schedule, or if you’re about to go to a party and suddenly realize that your nails are bare! Apply the nail patches before a night out with your friends, and thanks to the numerous funky versions, it’s easy to match your nails to your mood or outfits. Either go wild with leopard print stickers, go girlie with floral print ones or be a disco queen with some sparkly nail patches.
