Eye primers to eyelids are what foundations are for your skin. We’ve been using high end eye primers in the past year but when we heard that there was a much affordable alternative by Etude House called the Etude House Proof 10 Primer we immediately rushed to the store to pick one up. Etude House is a Korean makeup, skincare and beauty accessory brand founded in 2005 and is well known throughout Asia for it’s high quality and affordability.

PACKAGING
The primer comes with 10g of product and fits in the palm of your hand perfectly making it convenient to pop into your purse for use outside your home.
To scoop out product from the tube, it comes with a doe-foot applicator which is simple and easy to use.
When applied to your skin or eyelid, it has a creamy translucent opacity which goes clear once you blend it out around your eye area with your ring fingers.
STAYING POWER
The color palette we’ve used for demonstration is the Revlon Colorstay 12 Hour Eye Shadow palette in “Sunrise, Sunset”. The two swipes on the left were without the primer while the other two on the right have the primer applied in advance. As you can see, the colors on the right are highly pigmented, bright and vibrant compared to when applied without the primer. In fact, I had to go over several times on the area without primer for the colors to properly show up yet it didn’t turn up well in the end. I love the fact that only a minimal amount is required to bring out the vibrancy of the eyeshadows.

We will never use eyeshadows without eye primers ever again! Not only does it make our eyeshadows more vibrant and vivid, we experienced no creasing and colors lasts up to 10 hours without any touch ups even under the hot sun! It’s also good that the product’s packaging is see through so that you know how much product is left. Lastly, it’s affordable and works like a charm.
