Ralph Lauren is offering its fans something special for Chinese New Year as it honors the Year of the Horse, the majestic animal that has been the icon of the fashion brand for more than 46 years. For a limited time starting from January 2014, Ralph Lauren’s Chinese New Year collection will be sold in the brand’s flagship stores around the globe.
For the men, the Purple Label line features polo shirts, shawl-collar cardigans and other iconic menswear items finished with a limited-edition Year of the Horse crest. The ladies can look forward to chic and luxurious pieces, with one of the highlights being an alligator balmacaan coat signed by Mr. Ralph Lauren that is back with gold trim, and lined with red equestrian-print silk.
The auspicious red colour is also present in the watches and fine jewelry in this collection. Ralph Lauren’s red crocodile cuff bracelet features an elegant full-pavé horsehead styled in shimmering diamonds, while the unique hand-painted enamel Ralph Lauren Stirrup watch features the equestrian motif created from 15 different enamel colours.
Other accessories are also not forgotten during this festive season: from Ralph Lauren’s Ricky Bag to an alligator belt with a gold horsehead buckle, the brand’s current products have been given a unique finishing touch to complete this elegant Chinese New Year collection.
