Because waking up not-even-bright-yet and early to greet you over the airwaves tomorrow is our very own acid-tongued Joanne Kam and the very good looking Joey G.
But don’t let the man in “The Capital Breakfast: Talk of the Town” duo fool you – the all new Capital FM 88.9 is taking centre stage as the only radio station that addresses women in providing women a voice and a hub to exchange thoughts and opinions.
Their tagline, after all, does say “Women – The New Capital”.
Targeted at urban women from the age of 25 right up till 35 years of age, Capital FM 88.9 aims to act as a sounding board as well as a platform for introducing topics addressing the emotional and intellectual needs of women.
When asked, Mr. Tan Chong Kheng, Deputy Chief Broadcasting Officer of Star Radio Group said, “Our main priority is to give women a voice in the media. We strive to provide timely and relevant information from modern women to modern women and no other station in Malaysia offers this.”
And of course, what awesome “real radio for real women” channel would be complete without a stellar cast?
With a carefully handpicked cast of celebrity presenters such as Asha Gill, Joanne Kam, Xandria Ooi, Patricia K, Sheela Haran, April Kuan, Joey G, and Liang, the station promises to reach out to comfort, challenge, tickle the funny bones and ride through the hard times together with all women listeners like never before!
