PSY’s Management Says Govt Was Not Behind The Penang Show

Scooter Braun Projects aka PSY’s manager has issued a statement saying they did not engage or deal with the Malaysian government when it came to PSY’s recent performance.

In a statement issued to Bernama, the management stressed that news and articles have been circulating on the Internet, and now want to make it clear that it is pure conjecture and untrue.

The statement said, “Scooter Braun Projects wishes to categorically state that we have never been engaged or paid by the Malaysian government for the artiste’s recent performance in Penang, Malaysia.”

PSY’s management also denied the allegations on blogs claiming that the Malaysian government sponsored the artiste’s performance at the 1Malaysia Chinese New Year Open House on Monday (February 11).

Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak clarified the next day after the show that the performance by PSY at the 1Malaysia Chinese New Year Open House did not involve the publics money and then added that no one was charged for the performance as well.
