Polaroid Eyewear Is Back & We’re Absolutely Obsessed

Since the Polaroid Corporation was founded in 1937, its reputation has fluctuated between innovation and obsolescence. Fortunately with a wave of nostalgia hitting consumers, the brand seems poised to make a comeback.

Its instant cameras have establish a retro-cool cred, and now, a new campaign digs deep into the company’s roots to promote Polaroid Eyewear.

Polaroid Eyewear’s true story began during the mid-1920s when its founder, American scientist and inventor Edwin Land, discovered brilliant imagination and fascination with light led to an invention that would eventually impact the world – the birth of the polarized lens.

The film begins with Edwin land’s road to innovation, which was no easy feat for the young college dropout. With a vision for a better, more clear world, the charismatic founder demonstrates the magic behind his invention, sparking the imagination of his audience.

From this moment, we move into a visually titillating and entertaining montage through time. Each scene demonstrates the many ways Polaroid Eyewear’s technology has enhanced the way we see and experience the world, from the 1930s to today.
