It’s official! Paula Patton finally files for divorce from her long-separated husband, Robin Thicke.
Despite his continuous efforts and plea to give him another chance, it seems as though that things are really over between the couple. E! News confirms that the actress cited “irreconcilable differences” to a Los Angeles court. Patton also made sure to ask the judge to grant joint custody of their 4-year-old son Julian.
When their separation first happened, Patton said: “We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.” Turns out that the separation quickly led to an end for the pair, who have been married for nine years.
The couple was last seen as a couple and out in public during the Grammy Awards. Thicke performed at the ceremony and Patton caused quite a stir with her dramatic zebra-striped number.
I guess some people just can’t handle fame as well as others and it’s shame that Thicke’s album (which was also an attempt to win back his estranged wife) flopped.
