For the fifth consecutive year, Le Marché de Noël brought people of all walks of life together as they made festive shopping an effortless charitable act. Held in Carcosa Seri Negara on 3rd December 2015, visitors, vendors and sponsors all gathered under the touch of a French flair.
Visitors thronged this year’s bazaar and brought home Christmas gifts from the 65 kiosks available on that day. The aim was to help the underprivileged Malaysian children who are in need of medical care, or to fulfil the hopes and dreams of children who are sick. Le Marché de Noël did just that and all proceeds from the entrance tickets, Christmas party and sponsorship were channeled to A-Heart for A-Heart Programme and Make A Wish Malaysia.
These organisations were also the beneficiaries of the RM160,000 that Le Marché de Noël raised in 2014. The funds from last year helped support heart surgeries for five children aged 6 months to 1 year at time of operations, and made the wishes of seven children came true.
After the Christmas bazaar had ended, the cocktail Christmas party was held and guests thoroughly enjoyed the activities lined up, which included the Evening Raffle draw and silent auctions. Besides winning marvellous prizes, tabulations concluded that Le Marché de Noël had collected RM200,000 and the cheque was presented to the two organisations mentioned above.
Le Marché de Noël was organised by a committee comprising of several French ladies, and the generous sponsors for the event included Helipartner, Rafale International, AXA, Air France, Peugeot, Gleneagles, Thales, DCNS, Technip, Intermovers, AGS, Bachi Soletanche, Axens, Luther, Vinci and BNP Paribas.
