NARS Cosmetics is officially coming to KL this November and they’re opening their first store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur!
NARS Cosmetics was found in 1994 by François Nars, a make-up artist and photographer from the South-West of France. He was raised under the influence of his mother, Claudette Nars, and was exposed to fashion at an early age. Ha had his first job as an assistant to some of Paris’s top make-up artist and moved to New York in year 1984.
Although we know that NARS Cosmetics is famous for their blushers, did you know that NARS Cosmetics began with 12 lipsticks that sold out at Barneys New York?
Quality is not the only thing NARS boasts, but the brand is memorable for its provocative product names like “Orgasm” (Blush), “Deep Throat” (Blush), “Sex Machine” (Lip Pencil) and “Striptease” (Lip Gloss).
Now they’ve developed an entire “Orgasm Collection” including lipstick, blush, eye colours, illuminators and nail polish. How orgasmic. *wink wink*
In an interview with supermodel Linda Evangelista for Interview magazine, Nars said, “I always felt like I could do makeup without so many products.. the fun part of doing make-up is really mixing things”. And that’s what puts NARS cosmetics at the top of their game – high quality products that can work together so easily to create something so rich and flawless.
What’s even cooler is that they have two products named after Malaysia, so of course we’re going to welcome NARS into our country with open arms!
