Monki recently teased its Spring/Summer 2018 collection, and the Swedish fast fashion label this year champions sustainability by taking a huge leap in its ongoing mission – to use fully sustainably sourced cotton in some of the classic Monki Originals silhouettes.
Monki started off incorporating 100% organic cotton into its denim items since 2016 and its ultimate vision entails using only recycled or other sustainably sourced materials for all of its offerings by 2030. Through its SS18 collection, Monki takes a step closer to that goal by integrating materials like recycled polyester, polyamide and plastic.
Monki’s latest lineup comprises denim, blouses trousers, jackets, skirts, and more in exaggerated shapes, refreshed with a playful #monkistyle treatment in the form of oversized puffed sleeves, ruffles, paper bag styles and various other embellishments.
