Popular podcaster, TV personality, and stand-up comedian Chris Hardwick is about to takeover Comedy Central with a brand new late-night competition between top comedians. Produced by Funny Or Die, @midnight will feature the best funnymen in the industry battling it out about who is the best at hilariously roasting today’s current pop culture events and social media. The winner is crowned as the funniest person on Earth (for the next 23 hours).
Using the style of a game show, the show will implement the incredibly amusing outbursts that are bound to happen on social networks such as ridiculous Tweets, absurd questions on Yahoo Answers, or the overindulgent and self-obsessed rich kids of Instagram. Comedians will battle it out to death, and barrelful of laughs is sure to be had by everyone in the process. The show has gained widespread attention, and won a Primetime Emmy in the Outstanding Interactive Program category just last year.
The show airs new episodes every Tuesday and Wednesday following “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”, at Tuesday, 23th June at 11pm(TH/WIB), 12mn (HK/PH/SG/TW) and 1am (MY).
