Anglophilic fashion lovers can now rejoice over a new addition to the Malaysian retail scene with the arrival of London high street brand River Island. With over 300 stores around the globe, River Island has been made available in our country via online shopping hub Zalora.com.my that also houses various other international labels and local designers. Known for its up-to-date collections and affordable prices, River Island, apart from having its own in-house design team, also supports up and coming designers. It has recently collaborated with pop star Rihanna for an exclusive collection, and the Zalora.com.my team is working on bringing it to our shores.
A glimpse into the brand was offered during a launch party at Zouk Club KL, at which attendees who ranged from Mr. Giulio Xiloyannis (Director of Buying and Marketing for Zalora Malaysia), Malaysian celebrities to the media were treated to a fashion presentation. BlackBerry was also a partner at the event, allowing guests to purchase items from the collection by scanning a QR code on the BlackBerry QR panels.
