On Wednesday morning (19 September), Lindsay Lohan was arrested after a hit and run incident. She allegedly clipped a passangers with her new car in New York City.
According to TMZ, the 26 year old actress was driving at a low speed as she was in to park near her hotel at 2am and hit a man in the knee. After the incident, a passenger in Lindsay’s car when out of the vehicle to check for damagers before heading inside the hotel.
At 2.30am, as Lindsay left the hotel, she was arrested by police officers. She was charged for leaving the scene of an accident, but was then released with a ticket. Apparently, The man who was hit is still in the hospital but has no visible injuries.
After the arrest and being able to think properly, Lindsay says she had no idea she hit anybody and also says that no one exited her car to check for damages – she believes she was the victim of a set up and is planning to fight the charges made against her.
It is also said that Lindsay was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This arrest may trigger a probation violation in Lindsay’s jewelry theft case because one of the conditions of probation is she ‘obey all laws’.
