Press down hard on the top of the garlic bulb and you can easily detach the individual cloves. There are lots of ways to remove the skin from garlic.
1. The ‘Tap’
Using the flat side of a knife, press down hard on the garlic until slightly squashed. Remove the skin.
2. The ‘Shake’
Put the clove/s into a jar with a lid on and shake until the skin has come loose. This is a top tip especially if you are using lots of garlic in a dish.
3. The ‘Wave’
Place the garlic in the microwave for 10 seconds and let it to cool a little. You’ll then see that the skin is easily peeled off.
