Mama Monster is finally getting married!
Lady Gaga announced on Monday that she is engaged to long time boyfriend and actor Taylor Kinney.
She posted a photo of her massive heart-shaped diamond engagement ring on Instagram with the caption, “He gave me his heart on Valentine’s Day, and I said YES!”
The 28-year-old pop star met 33-year-old Kinney on the set of her 2011 music video “Yoü And I”. They later started dating. Throughout their relationship, they have only made a few public appearances together, keeping their love life pretty private.
“When you meet someone that’s not intimidated by the amazing people that are around you [or] by the love that you receive—that’s love,” Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, mentioned in 2013. “Men weren’t always happy for me. It was very challenging to watch a woman be so successful.”
In 2013, Lady Gaga also gushed about her relationship with Kinney on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “Well, he’s a hidden weirdo,” she mentioned. “He is extremely strange, actually, and we complement each other’s weirdness.”
