It’s always a huge deal when a H&M store opens in your city – remember when it opened in Lot 10 back in 2012?
The latest city in Malaysia to experience the stylish yet affordable Swedish brand is Kuching. Located in The Spring, East Malaysia’s first H&M store was launched yesterday at 10am (check out the VIP Pre-opening party the night before here) and as expected, many came early to queue up in hopes of receiving early bird prizes. There was also an exhibition area where ten personalities were photographed by famed photographer Bibo Aswan documenting their love affair with H&M.
While waiting for the store to open its doors, the crowd were treated to an ultra energetic dance performance by the H&M Kuching team.
The first person in line was gifted a RM200 shopping voucher and her patience was indeed rewarded as she started waiting in line at 1am! The following 50 in line were presented with a RM50 shopping voucher and needless to say, many happy faces were spotted in the crowd.
An exclusive tote bag was given out to the first 200 shoppers who made a purchase. Plus, from now till 1st November, shoppers who visit the store will enjoy 10% off their entire purchase with a minimum spend of RM150 in a single receipt. So if you missed out on the fun on opening day, be sure to visit the new H&M Kuching by 1st November.
