Korean Beauty Skincare Tips For A Better Version Of Your Skin

We all have to admit that beauty is an important element for Korean women to achieve impeccable skin and looking youthful.  Apart from being conscious about diet and lifestyle, their beauty secret lies in skin-preserving methods and techniques. Korea has been home to many effective age-old home remedies to achieve glowing and radiant skin. We have sourced out 5 simple go-to beauty hacks to achieve a flawless skin.

Steam massage in the shower

Massaging increases circulation and creates a dewy complexion. Use your fingers and move them around in circular motion all over your face. Also tap your fingers in rotating motions starting from your forehead, then the cheekbones, cheeks, and working down to the jawbone.

Exfoliate with a washcloth soaked in hot water

Many ladies in Korea who are 70 years of age look like in their mid 50s, and have very little wrinkles on their faces. The secret? They use a nubby washcloth to massage her face every day, using upward moving, circular strokes.

Use an overnight sleeping mask

The most crucial time your skin cells work hardest at cell recovery and turnover is when you’re sleeping at night. Therefore, you need to feed your skin the best at this time for better and quicker results. That’s why that’s the perfect time to slather and hyper-moisturize your tired complexion. When you wake up the next day, your weeks of tired and dullness will come off your face.

Drink barley tea

Ever gone to a Korean restaurant and gotten a nutty tasting tea? It’s probably roasted barley tea, which is what is served to Korean babies from birth to fortify their skin and overall well-being. Barley tea is packed with anti-oxidants which is great for looking youthful. Apart from that, studies have shown that barley can improve blood circulation and promote weight loss. Wouldn’t harm to give it a try, right?

Practice mouth stretches

Practicing mouth stretches works on your mouth, jawline and neck muscles. Doing this on a daily basis can improve elasticity and prevent a double chin. Say A-E-I-O-U in an exaggerated way. Repeat three times. It sounds silly, but many swear this trick improves circulation and brightens skin tone.
