Describe your personal style: I don’t really limit myself when it comes to fashion. I like experimenting with different looks. Strong, structured an edgy would be my main style. I also love colours with vibrant prints. Of course, every once in a while I bring out the girly girl inside of me with pretty pastels and floral motives.
What do you think about the fashion scene in KL: I think people just need to dress the way they want and not care about what others think. I get asked quite often: “Where are you going? Do you have an event?” I always believe if you look good you feel good, there doesn’t need to be an event to do so. Having said that, KL has definitely improved in terms of fashion along the years.
Your favourite place to shop: Somehow I always get drawn to pieces I can’t find locally. Retail giants like Zara, Topshop and H&M are great but because they’re mass produced, too many people where the same thing. Hence my obsession with online retail because the chances of someone else wearing the same thing is minimal. I’m also obsessed with Australian brands. They’re very different from European and American fashion. My favourite has got to be David Jones because they stock all of my favourite Aussie labels under one roof. Most of the things I own are from there. I go back at least twice a year and when I do, that’s where you’ll find me. If I could live in that departmental store, I would!
