Educational and entertainment theme park KidZania Kuala Lumpur collaborated with Malaysia’s top English radio station hitz.fm recebtly to host a ‘How to Be A Star DJ’ coaching workshop with hitz.fm’s very own Morning Crew, DJs Ean and Jinnyboy.
50 children who participated in the coaching workshop g0t firsthand tips from the dynamic duo on what it takes to be a radio DJ, the perks of the job as well as behind the scenes preparation to be a star DJ.
In addition, five lucky children who won the online contest by posting creative photos of themselves get to have a close and personal session with DJs Ean and Jinnyboy. Children who participated were also encouraged to play the role of DJs to ‘host’ their own radio shows with their parents while DJs Ean and Jinnyboy provided positive feedback and encouragement throughout the session.
The General Manager and Mayor of KidZania Kuala Lumpur, Pn Susanah Abdul Rani commented that this workshop is aimed to expose the available careers in the radio industry to the children as well as help build the children’s skills in radio deejay-ing and heighten their confidence.
Network Content Manager of Astro Radio, Brian Vinesh agreed with Pn Susanah, and added that their partnership gave them the exact opportunity to connect, nurture and build on the skills required on children to be a true entertainer in the future.
