Looks like the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park might be undergoing a major change with the new director Colin Trevorrow.
According to our source, the long awaited fourth installment of dinosaur movie franchise “Jurassic Park” will no longer be directed by the well-known director Steven Spielberg who directed the first two movies in the US$1.9 billion worldwide franchise. However, Universal Picture said that Spielberg will be the executive producer of the movie and the Hollywood newcomer Colin Trevorrow will be the director instead.
Trevorrow, 36 has previously directed the independent movie “Safety Not Guaranteed,” shown at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, and had previously made a TV movie and documentary.
The release date was announced yet but Universal said that “Jurassic Park 4” will return to US movie theaters in April in a 3D conversion. Universal, a unit of Comcast Corp, gave no details of casting or the plot for “Jurassic Park 4.”
Well, it looks like it’ll be a long wait for Jurassic Park’s fans and hopefully the new director can make a good one out of this classic film!
