In an interview, the singer-songwriter revealed that his new single Still Feel Like Your Man from his new album The Search for Everything, is about his Firework ex, Katy Perry. The two dated on and off for about a year and a half until early 2014.
“Who else would I be thinking about?” he said. “And by the way, it’s a testament to the fact that I have not dated a lot of people in the last five, six years. That was my only relationship. So it’s like, give me this, people.” The star continued, “There were times when tears came out of me, and I went, OK, John, this is not about an on-again, off-again relationship. This is something more profound.”

He told the press that since the split, he has hardly dated. The hunk was practically jumping for joy when he found out about her breakup with Orlando, and has been bombarding her with calls and flowers, on top of writing her poetry and songs. Getting her back is all her cares about these days.
John has a history of going hot and cold on Katy so we’re not surprised that she hasn’t gone running straight back to him. But his new song ‘Still Feel Like Your Man’ has got to be pulling at her heart strings a little, with lyrics like “I still keep your shampoo in my shower, in case you want to wash your hair” and “Still think I’m never going to find another you,” the song is a serious tear jerker.
He also talked about wanting to settle down with someone and start a family.”I wish there was somebody to throw me the 40th,” he said. “I want the baby with the protective earphones by the side of the stage.” Aww!
