Sunsilk has recently launched a new range of products to combat dry hair called the Nourishing Soft & Smooth. The range contains a blend of five natural oils like Moroccan Argan Oil, Camelia Oil, Almond Oil, Babbasu Oil and Coconut Oil to help with give hair shine, moisture and suppleness without weighing it down. It was also made with women with dry hair in mind.
In conjunction with the launch of the new range, Sunsilk has also unveiled the improved Smooth & Manageable range, which are also infused with the miracle blend of the five natural oils. We spoke to Chong Yen Nee, Brand Manager for Sunsilk, Malaysia Unilever (Malaysia) Holdings Sdn Bhd to elaborate more on the specialty of the brand new Nourishing Soft & Smooth range.
Q.What was the inspiration behind the creation of the Sunsilk Nourishing Soft & Smooth Range?
A. It all starts with the consumers. We realize that the trend among consumers now is that they’re looking for natural ingredients in their haircare products, which is why the research team and the hair uncovered this blend of natural oils that infused with these Nourishing Soft and Smooth product as well as the Smooth and Manageable range.
Q. As the new Nourishing Soft & Smooth Range contain a blend of 5 natural oils, would it be a be compatible with people with oily hair?
A. We have a current variant called Clean and Fresh, which is specifically targeted to people with oily hair. For these two new range, the Nourishing Soft and Smooth range is made for people with dry hair, and the Smooth and Manageable range is made for all hair types with unmanageable hair problems.
Q. Would you recommend this product to someone who has dry hair, and oily hair at the same time?
A. It would be recommended to solve the oily hair problem first by using the Clean and Fresh products, then followed by the Split-Ends Serum (from the Sunsilk Damaged Hair Reconstruction range) to help with split-ends for damaged hair. Then it would be key to use the Nourishing Soft and Smooth Intensive Treatment Mask at least twice a week to help with the dry hair.
Q. The Soft & Smooth Nourishing Spray is said to be the first dual-phased spray by Sunsilk. Could you elaborate how the product works?
A. The Nourishing Spray comes with a nourishing layer which moisturizes hair deeply and then the conditioning layer which instantly conditions the hair. It also protects the hair from heat, so the hair will not lose moisture from any heat . To use it, simply shake the bottle so both the layers mix, and then spray for instant moisture!
