Last week, Instagram introduced Story Highlights whereby users are able to save their favourite Stories to appear on their main profiles. It comes unexpected, but the social media platform has added yet another update.. and this one is a HUGE game changer.
Instagram now allows you to follow hashtags, and the top posts with the hashtags you follow will appear in your feed alongside the regular posts from users you follow. Simply search for a topic you like or click on a hashtag, then click follow! Of course, you can also unfollow any time.
Once you do, your Following page will also appear differently – It will be divided by Users and Hashtags so other Instagrammers who check you out will be able to screen through your interests. As of now, there is no way to turn it off to hide the hashtags you follow from other users.
Still, pretty cool, isn’t it?! 😀
